Longkong Thai Lanzones

Longkong Lanzones from Thailand is the most expensive fruit in the world today. Its price ranges from P350 to P600 per kilo, so much higher than our local Paete Lanzones which costs only P60 to P100 per kilo.
A bunch of seedless, sweet and latex-free Longkong fruit weighs 1/2 to 2 kilos. This variety can be grown locally as proven by those who planted several years ago.

Pummelo
Pummelo is the hardiest among all variety of citrus, making it resistant to pests and diseases. It is the only fruit with long shelf life. If harvested at the right state of maturity, it could last for more than a month under ordinary room temperature.

Pummelo is regarded as a health fruit so it has unlimited demand here and abroad.

BREAKTHROUGHS

Noted pomologist Bernie Dizon, known for espousing modern plant technology, has achieved a series of breakthroughs in the propagation of three outstanding citrus varieties - Japanese dwarf sweet orange, Luz calamansi and dwarf Rio red grapefruit from the US.

The Japanese orange, with small leaves, is a dwarf variety and is ideal for bonsai gardens. It can bear fruits continuously throughout the year. Its fruit is medium size, sweet in taste and contains only a few seeds, sometimes none.
