SWEET TAMARIND

Manila Bulletin, Agriculture, Thurs. Jan. 10, 2002
Edited by Zac. B. Sarian
SWEET TAMARIND. One high-value crop that can be grown even in marginal land such as cogonal hills is the sweet tamarind that originally came from Thailand. Grafted trees will bear fruit in two years. The fruits are exceptionally sweet and command a high price in the market. Planting materials are available from Bernie Dizon.
