DURIAN
IN TANAY.
Among the happiest weekend farmers are William
and Jeanet Yao, seen here with their young
fruiting durian in Tanay, Rizal. They planted
the Munthong and Chanee varieties from Thailand
which started to fruit in just three years from
planting. Aside from durian, the Yaos have
planted hundreds of Magallanes pummelo, the
variety grown in Davao, which started fruiting
last year. The orchard was established through
the help of Bernie Dizon. |
