Durian at the Parks & Wildlife
by Zac B. Sarian

DURIAN AT THE PARKS & WILDLIFE. Photo shows Gary Dizon with the fruiting durian at Ninoy Aquino Parks and Wildlife along North Avenue in Quezon City. It will be one of the exotic trees in fruit that Bernie Dizon will show and discuss during the open house and teach-in on high-value fruit trees next Thursday, June 21. Another fruiting exotic tree that he will show will be the R162 rambutan, a Malaysian variety that is currently in fruit. Some of the fruits are already ripening and may be available for tasting. Grafted planting materials of durian, rambutan, mangosteen, Magallanes pummelo, Millennium mango, Guimaras mango, Mapino chico, variegated chico, longkong, duku and others will be available. The open house is open free to the public from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m..
