DURIAN
AT THE PARKS & WILDLIFE.
Photo shows Gary Dizon with the fruiting durian
at Ninoy Aquino Parks and Wildlife along North
Avenue in Quezon City. It will be one of the
exotic trees in fruit that Bernie Dizon will
show and discuss during the open house and
teach-in on high-value fruit trees next
Thursday, June 21. Another fruiting exotic tree
that he will show will be the R162 rambutan, a
Malaysian variety that is currently in fruit.
Some of the fruits are already ripening and may
be available for tasting. Grafted planting
materials of durian, rambutan, mangosteen,
Magallanes pummelo, Millennium mango, Guimaras
mango, Mapino chico, variegated chico, longkong,
duku and others will be available. The open
house is open free to the public from 8 a.m. to
5 p.m.. |
