Mr.
Bernardo "Bernie" O. Dizon, popular agricultural scientist
and proponent of using modern technology in the propagation,
culture and growing of fruit trees, has proposed to
established in CLSU a demonstration area to serve as an
experimental fruit garden showcase for public exhibition
using multiple rootstock techniques.
Mr.
Dizon, a CLSU alumnus (BSA '69), a CLSU Alumni Association
Achievement Awardee, and a very successful farmer -
entrepreneur, shall introduce and plant in the demonstration
farm local and imported fruit trees which are potential
dollar savers/earners.
Under the memorandum of agreement signed by Mr. Dizon
and President Fortunato A. Battad, CLSU shall provide a
total area of 5,000 sq. meters with source of water and a
display area along the national highway for the purpose. |
